From a north-facing slope in the warmest part of Central Otago, there’s a generosity to this wine in layers of golden delicious apples, oranges and figs, pulling into a finish of grapefruit, lemon and impressively poised acidity that draws out very long and seamless. There’s depth and generosity of baked apples and mixed spice, yet it pulls in refreshingly crisp and honed on the finish, with impressive expression of natural acidity and gentle minerality. $35 direct.
