Brown Brothers Pinot Noir Chardonnay Pinot Meunier

Dollar for dollar, this is one of the best value bottles of fizz on the shelves. Layers of rich complexity are built around pinot noir (almost three-quarters of the blend), reinforced by reserves and liqueurs aged half in old oak. This creates aromas and flavours of wild honey, succulent peaches, mixed spice and ginger nut biscuits. Its generosity is offset impeccably by cool, clean acidity, thanks to its lofty King Valley origins. The finish lingers long amidst hints of mineral texture and a full dosage of 11.5g/L of sweetness. $17 at Dan Murphy’s.
