House of Arras 30th Anniversary Dinner with Ed Carr – 18 September 2025
Together with Ed Carr, it’s my great pleasure to invite you to a grand celebration of the 30th Anniversary of House of Arras at The Lodge on James St Brisbane on Thursday 18th September 2025.
It’s impossible to overstate the monumental impact of House of Arras on the history of Australian sparkling. There is no house more awarded domestically or internationally, no brand more celebrated, no cuvées more revered, and no single individual due more credit for it all.
The rise and rise of Arras is thanks to the inimitable genius and singular determination of its humble creator, Ed Carr. The global reputation of Tasmanian wine, and indeed of Australian sparkling wine, owes more to Ed than anyone else in history.
I warmly invite you to join us for this intimate dinner, a grand tribute to celebrate Ed’s 30th year of House of Arras! He has generously plundered the museum collection of the house to assemble an extensive showcase of some of the finest new world sparkling wines ever created, from the full set of his new release 2017 vintage cuvées, all the way back to EJ Carr Late Disgorged 2009, 2008 en magnum and Museum Release Blanc de Blancs 2005 – at a magnificent 20 years of age!
Ed will introduce eleven of his cuvées across the dinner, commencing with a vertical of six vintages of Blanc de Blancs, matched to a five-course menu by The Lodge Bar & Dining Executive Chef Matt Lambert.
