Grower Champagne Lunch at Winnifred’s – 23 August 2025
Together with my dear friend Megan Nunn, it’s my great pleasure to invite you to our intimate Grower Champagne Lunch to celebrate the grand opening of her Winnifred’s on Arthur!
When I first met Megan over a few glasses of Charles Heidsieck in the Barossa in February 2018, she shared with me her grand vision of building a home for grower champagne in Brisbane. It has been a great joy for me to watch Megan’s dream come to life over five years of searching for the perfect site, a year of designing and a year-and-a-half of building. Megan has spared no expense in every beautiful, bespoke detail of her design. With over 14,000 bottles of 360 cuvées from more than 63 growers and houses on site, this is a true temple to Megan’s infectious champagne passion!
The result is Australia’s most significant new champagne precinct – effectively five venues in one: French bistro ‘Montagne de Reims’, bar ‘Vallée de la Marne’, champagne garden ‘Côteaux du Petit Morin’, boutique ‘Marchand de Vins’ and private dining rooms ‘Côte des Blancs’.
Its opening deserves a very special celebration, so in honour of Megan’s first love I have lined up seven of my favourites champagne growers to mark the occasion, matched to a four-course lunch created by her Head Chef, Antoine Potier, Queensland Chef of the Year 2024!
