His Minervois exemplifies sensational restraint within a rich and concentrated style. There’s an exotic air here – pipesmoke, spice, dried herbs and lifted violets. Its deep core is of plum liqueur, blackberries, juicy black cherries, notes of dark chocolate and layers of lingering exotic spice. A fine, mineral texture akin to high cocoa dark chocolate is furnished by impressively firm tannins and vibrant acidity.
