I am flying to the US in early October 2018 and it’s my great pleasure to invite sommeliers, wine buyers and media to join me for very special, intimate trade tastings in San Francisco and New York City.
Tasmanian wines have become a specialty of mine as an Australian wine communicator, and in recent years this region has really come of age. Off the back of the success of my inaugural Tasmanian Sparkling Showcase in New York City last year, this year I am extending the tasting to feature pinot noir, chardonnay and sparkling. By popular demand I’m also taking the showcase to San Francisco for the first time.
I’ve selected a short list of my favourite Tasmanian estates, both the famous names and the smallest boutiques, those with a presence in the US and those seeking an importer, to showcase why this emerging category is so exciting.

This is a casual, come and go tasting and I will be present in person with Tasmanian winemaker Natalie Fryar to answer any questions and share the stories of the estates.
